Berlinale Co-Production Market

Since 2005, the Berlinale Co-Production Market and the Berlin House of Representatives have enjoyed a solid partnership. Every year the Berlinale Co-Production Market takes place in the Prussian Parliament building, the seat of the Berlin House of Representatives. The building is regarded as an architectural symbol of the Wilhemenian era and is located opposite the Martin-Gropius-Bau, the main venue of the European Film Market.

The participants of the Berlinale Co-Production Market appreciate the exclusive and concentrated atmosphere of the rooms perfectly suited for the varied events.
Facilities include the Producers’ Lounge where participants of the Berlinale Co-Production Market can set up their own, additional meetings with both participants and non-participants. Computers with internet access are available exclusively to participants. In addition, there is a mailbox system where participants can leave messages for one another.

A House of History

The “Prussian Parliament” reflects Germany’s turbulent history unlike any other building in Berlin. From the time of the Kaisers to the Weimar Republic to the Nazi dictatorship and then during the GDR, the building was always a place in which the extreme highs and lows of political power manifested themselves. Since 1993, the “Prussian Parliament” has been the seat of the Berlin House of Representatives.
