"Distribution in a Crossmedia World" will be the title of a new panel discussion presented by the European Film Market together with Film- und Medienstiftung NRW and in collaboration with the trade magazine Blickpunkt:Film. On Monday 13 February 2012 at 16:30 in the Gropius Mirror Restaurant (across from the Martin-Gropius-Bau), international industry experts will discuss innovations and current developments in digital distribution. more

Feb 01, 2012: Industry experts in dialogue at the EFM Industry Debates 2012 – Presented by Official Partner IFA Berlin

In their sixth consecutive year, the EFM Industry Debates (Friday 10 to Sunday 12 February 2012, each at 4:30 to 5:30 in the Gropius Mirror Restaurant) highlight current trends and future developments in the industry. For the first time this year, the prominent professional event will be presented by the trade fair for consumer electronics IFA Berlin, Official Host of the EFM Industry Debates 2012.  more

Jan 26, 2012: Strong presence for American Independents at the European Film Market 2012 (EFM) – A new initiative among established EFM platforms

At this year’s European Film Market (9.-17.02.2012), American independent filmmakers will have their own lounge at the Martin-Gropius-Bau. Under the umbrella "American Independents in Berlin", organised by the Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) and the Sundance Institute, more than 50 US Indies will be showcased in the sections “IFP Selects” and "Sundance at EFM" to the over 1500 buyers at the first international film market of the year. more

Dec 16, 2011: A Fully Booked Film Market at the 2012 Berlinale

As the year’s first film market, the European Film Market (EFM) will open its doors at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival from February 9 – 17, 2012, making it the first meeting and trade platform for the international film industry. The exhibition spaces in the Martin-Gropius-Bau and the Marriott Hotel are already fully booked and screenings, among them numerous market premieres, will take place in over 35 EFM screening facilities, including several digital and 3D cinemas. more
