Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are proud to put the spotlight on the upcoming producers from the region. You will have the chance to meet four producers from each country. Pure talent who knows what it takes to make a film happen. All internationally experienced and with some great success stories to tell.

Estonia will put forward Marianne Ostrat, who is coming to Berlin straight from Sundance where her film Smoke Sauna Sisterhood (dir. Anna Hints) premiered. Johanna Maria Paulson is currently working with several top talents from Estonia so make sure to get in on one of these projects. Have you heard of Melchior the Apothecary (dir. Elmo Nüganen)? Diana Mikita is one of the producers behind that success. And Volia Chajkouskaya is the producer you want to work with what comes to documentaries.

Latvia will introduce Alise Ģelze, who will start shooting Juris Kursietis’ third film in 2023. Surely you remember his last film Oleg which premiered at the Director’s Fortnight in Cannes. Guntis Trekteris, whose next project Black Velvet (dir. Liene Linde) received the main prize at the Works in Progress at Industry@Tallinn. Inese Boka-Grūbe received awards from Tribeca, Rome and Warsaw for January (dir. Viesturs Kairišs) in 2022 and Matīss Kaža is the producer of his flagship project, the animated film Flow, which is the second feature of Annecy-winning director Gints Zilbalodis.

Lithuania will present Giedrė Žickytė, whose film The Jump has been shown all around the world and was also Lithuania's official entry for the 94th Academy Awards, Klementina Remeikaitė, who is the producer behind Pilgrims (dir. Laurynas Bareiša) that won the Orizzonti Award for Best Film at Venice Film Festival in 2022, Justė Michilinaitė, who worked on the animated film Aurora's Sunrise (dir. Inna Sahakyan) which was Armenia's official submission for the 95th Academy Awards - and last but not least, the queer film maker - Romas Zabarauskas. He's currently working on two films - The Activist and The Writer.

They are looking forward to meeting you, and we are sure after some networking you’ll know exactly why and how to collaborate with the Baltics.
