Berlinale Series Market

Iberseries & Platino Industria and Berlinale Series Market joined forces in 2026 for SERIES MATCH, a dedicated meeting format designed to connect production companies across different territories with series projects in early development.

SERIES MATCH: Bridging Ibero-America, Germany and Scandinavia

SERIES MATCH returns to the Berlinale Series Market with an expanded international scope, bringing together producers from Germany, Ibero-America, and the Nordic countries to foster new partnerships and co-production opportunities for high-end television projects in the early stages of development.

Building on the successful collaboration between Berlinale Series Market and Iberseries & Platino Industria, the programme now welcomes projects and companies from the Nordic region through the participation of Göteborg Film Festival's TV Drama Vision.

A selection of five Ibero-American projects, two to three Nordic projects, and up to eight German production companies will take part in a curated matchmaking programme during the Berlinale Series Market.

Through a series of tailor-made one-to-one meetings, participants will have the opportunity to connect with potential partners, explore creative and financial synergies, and exchange feedback with industry peers and experts.

Who Can Apply?

• Ibero-American production companies with series projects in early development seeking co-production opportunities with German and/or Nordic partners.
• Nordic production companies with series projects in early development seeking co-production opportunities with German and/or Ibero-American partners.
• German production companies interested in exploring co-production opportunities with selected Ibero-American and Nordic participants. While German projects are not required for participation, companies are encouraged to present their development slate and discuss potential collaborations.

Selected participants will receive an EFM Market Badge, granting access to the European Film Market and the Berlinale Series Market activities.

Series Match takes place within the Berlinale Series Market (February 14–16, 2027).

Guidelines

Elegibility:

• Production companies based in Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and the Ibero-American region (Latin America, Spain and Portugal)
• Series projects in early development (fiction and documentary)
• Scripted series projects in early development
• Interest in international co-production

Format:

• Closed industry meeting
• Projects will be presented and discussed in a roundtable format
• Meeting date: 14-16 February, 2027
• Location: CinemaxX Lounge at Berlinale Series Market

Applicants should send the following to be considered:

• One pager
• A half-page statement on the current stage of the project
• A half-page explaining how the project could benefit from a German-Ibero-American-Scandinavian series match
• Short bios of the creator and producer (one paragraph each)
• Short company profile (one paragraph)

Participating companies acknowledge that neither the Berlinale Series Market, Iberseries & Platino Industria, nor the Göteborg Film Festival's TV Drama Vision will cover travel or accommodation costs.
