Berlinale Film School Summit

The Berlinale Film School Summit is a new global initiative that brings together outstanding directing and producing students from leading international film schools. With events unfolding throughout the EFM period, participants gain exclusive insight into the Berlinale and its Berlinale Pro divisions, brought together in a focused summit day that fosters direct exchange with peers and emerging voices worldwide.

Designed to foster international exchange, creative dialogue, and forward-looking collaboration, the Summit reflects the festival’s commitment to artistic excellence, diversity, and a truly global film culture.

A Platform for the Next Generation of producers and directors

The Berlinale Film School Summit is dedicated to filmmakers who think globally, collaborate across borders, and actively shape the future of cinema. In the spirit of the Berlinale, the programme is diverse, inclusive, and forward-thinking — inviting students to explore new ways of storytelling and production in a rapidly evolving industry landscape.
By bringing these emerging talents together in one shared space, the Summit aims to build a strong, international network of the filmmakers of tomorrow.

Spread across the EFM period from 12–18 February, the programme features a series of events leading up to the main Berlinale Film School Summit on 17 February.
