Women Creators from Europe Share Their Experiences

This panel brings together inspiring women creators from various European countries to discuss their experiences, challenges, and visions in the film and media industry. They share insights into their creative processes, the conditions under which they work, and the thematic issues driving their storytelling.

Gender roles and industry expectations often shape working conditions and career opportunities. This panel explores how these factors influence women creators’ visibility, collaboration opportunities, and artistic freedom.

By fostering an open exchange of ideas and experiences, the panel promotes the visibility of women in the industry and encourages future generations to pursue their creative ambitions. It also aims to raise awareness of industry challenges and highlight solutions for a more inclusive and equitable creative landscape.

Speakers:

● Julia Penner – Creator of 37 Seconds, which questions: When does sex become rape?

● Rosina Kaleab – Developing a show about heroes with questionable superpowers.

● Pandora da Cunha Telles – Creator & showrunner of Broken Spies.

Moderation: Aina Kaufmann, an experienced Moderator and specializes in gender representation and diversity in film and television. With experience on Numerous international projects, she is a dedicated advocate for equal opportunities in the creative industries. Having worked in various positions both in front of and behind the camera, she brings a passion for inclusion and accessibility, always working towards fostering positive change and diverse representation.

This panel is initiated by Women Come Together, a network connecting women from screenwriting, directing, cinematography, production, editing, sound, and set design, fostering exchange within the industry.
