KYOTO NIGHT is an invitation-only Kyoto reception held during the European Film Market (EFM). It is designed to connect international film professionals—producers, distributors, streaming platforms, and production partners—through the unique combination of Culture × Business × Entertainment, and to create real opportunities for international co-productions.

Part 1: Kyoto Location Showcase
Kyoto is globally known as one of Japan’s most iconic cultural and tourism destinations. In this session, we will introduce Kyoto not only as a beautiful city, but as a highly practical and attractive filming hub—not limited to samurai and ninja stories, but for a wide range of international productions. Through video-led presentations and visual case studies, we will highlight Kyoto’s distinctive cinematic value, including unique locations, cultural assets, and production-ready environments. We will also share key information on incentives and support programs, helping international partners better understand the possibilities of filming and co-producing in Japan.

Part 2: Networking & Omotenashi Reception
Enjoy authentic Kyoto-style hospitality through Japanese cuisine, sake, and matcha, creating a relaxed and natural atmosphere for meaningful business conversations. This reception is designed to spark genuine connections and help turn introductions into future collaborations.

Part 3: Amazing Performance
As a special showcase inspired by “Rensa-Geki” (a classic Japanese style of cinematic storytelling), blending live music with dynamic samurai/ninja action for an unforgettable experience. This original stage experience brings together cinematic storytelling, live performance, and Japanese aesthetics to create a memorable moment that stays with the audience—and nurtures the seeds of future international projects.

KYOTO NIGHT is more than just a reception. It is a gateway that connects Kyoto and the world through stories, experiences, and creative partnerships.
