How do I access the EFM 2022?

To benefit from our online features like the Screening Schedule, EFM Participants Guide and the EFM Industry Sessions programme you must be registered with an Online Market Badge. Find all info on prices and benefits here.

How do I keep up to date with EFM news?

You can subscribe to our Infoletter, where we announce relevant information and programme highlights to watch out for.

When will the programme for the coming EFM online edition be announced?

The Screening Schedule will be launched by the beginning of February and lists all titles of the 2022 edition. Films and screening dates are constantly being updated up until and during the market.
The newly launched Event Schedule will be launched by the beginning of February as well. All Berlinale Industry Sessions events and associated events will be added and updated continuously.

I am an exhibitor at the EFM. Do I also need to submit an application for accreditation?

Yes. EFM exhibitors must also complete the accreditation process and submit an application.

How do I get access to the EFM online features?

After you have paid for an Online Market Badge you will gain access to the EFM online features via “My Account” as they are released.

How to edit my Virtual Stand?

Your Virtual Stand will be ready to set-up from Friday, Jan 21. Every person successfully registered with a company and an Online Market Badge will be able to edit their Virtual Stand through their individual EFM Account. When logged-in, find the access to your stand on the right-hand side menu.

Please click the Button for a visual and step by step guide on how to edit your Virtual Stand.

Your stand can be edited up until and throughout the entire duration of the EFM. The Virtual Stands will be published for all EFM attendees around Feb 7.

Whats new:

• cropping tool: easily adjust your images to the required pixel format
• drag & drop: quickly change the order of your images, screenings, line-up and colleagues registered with efm-marketguide
• upload a company description of up to 300 words
• Line-up’s headline can now be customised to your needs
• put a headline underneath each “line-up” image ¬¬

Who can edit the Virtual Stand?

Everyone who is registered with your company can edit your Virtual Stand.

Do my colleagues need an Online Market Badge in order to be listed on our Virtual Stand?

Yes, only people with an Online Market Badge may appear in the Participants Guide as well as on the Virtual Stand.

Can I embed the link of my Virtual Stand somewhere else?

Yes, you may embed the link to your Virtual Stand wherever you wish (your own homepage, artwork, etc.). The link will be available once the Virtual Stand will be published at the beginning of February.

Please note that only accredited professionals with an Online Market Badge are able to view your Virtual Stand.

Will sections appear in my Virtual Stand that I haven’t filled in?

The sections that do not apply for you, e.g. because you did not book Market Screenings, will not appear on your Virtual Stand.

Can I still edit my Virtual Stand during the EFM?

Yes, at any time. You may change or adapt content according to your wishes.

Where are the Online Market Screenings listed?

All Online Market Screenings are listed within our EFM Screening Schedule.

The Screening Schedule will be available as of beginning of February 2022.

Who can attend the Online Market Screenings?

To watch Online Market Screenings an Online Market Badge is required. Please note that the right holders are entitled to restrict access to their screenings.

How to access EFM Online Screenings?

To access EFM Online Screenings you must be logged in to your EFM MyAccount. The Player for the Online Screening is embedded within the film detail page.

Why isn't it possible for me to watch a certain Online Screening?

At the discretion of the rights holder, access to Online Screenings may be limited to selected groups of EFM participants.

If I'm late, can I still enter the Online Screening room?

Each Online Market Screening is available within a time frame of 120 minutes after its beginning. Within this time, the film starts from the beginning regardless of the start time.

Do I have to convert the times of the Online Market Screenings to my time zone?

No, all Online Market Screenings are scheduled in global time so the local time of the viewer matters. All market participants have to determine their time zone during the registration process.

What is the Participants Guide?

The Participants Guide conveniently lists all industry attendees, discovers and filters relevant participants, buyers, exhibitors, producers etc.
By accessing the EFM Participants Guide, badge holders will have the opportunity to network with other market participants from around the world. Easily set up meetings with your peers or explore the participants’ slates as well as company portfolios online.

Can I change my name / job title / picture etc. published in the Participants Guide?

Please contact with the information you wish to change.
If you wish to change your picture, please make sure to send us a sharp portrait headshot with a good visual quality and a minimum of 400 pixels in height and 350 pixels in width.

How can I download contact lists from the Participants Guide?

  • 1. Apply at least one filter to the Participants Guide (e.g. Activity: Buyer)
  • 2. Click on “Save results” -> create new participants list
  • 3. Click on "Go to Favourites" and select your participants list
  • 4. Download your “Favourite List” by clicking on the download button

I am looking to find more details of a certain EFM Industry Session, where do I go?

Please have a look at the Event Schedule in order to get more detailed information about a certain EFM Industry Session. The Event Schedule will be available as of beginning February 2022.

Can I visit or watch an EFM Industry Session without an Online Market Badge?

An Online Market Badge is required. Only selected press has access to the EFM Industry Sessions without an Online Market Badge. You can still register for an Online Market Badge here.

Where do I get the link for a certain EFM Industry Session Event?

The links or live streams and on demand videos for a certain event or session will be embedded within the Event Schedule. Please choose the event and click on it, you will be forwarded the the event detail page where you can find all necessary information as well as the event link or stream.

I have technical problems uploading my films or trailers, what can I do?

Please make sure, that your browser and your operating system is up to date an your internet connection is consistent. Your files needs to meet the technical specifications found here. If your problem persists, please contact the Film Office: 49 30 25920833 or

Berlinale Kindergarten on Air

Are you accredited for the EFM and have children in your care?

Sign up for the Berlinale Kindergarten on Air, an initiative proposed by the EFM.

We will provide 2 programs per day (at 10am and 5pm CET) from the 10th till the 15th of February with sessions that cover a wider range of activities, such as storytelling, yoga, dance and arts & crafts - in three languages (German, English & Spanish). The sessions are recommended for children between 4 and 12 years old und we have a maximum number of 8 kids per slot.
